Periodontist

Since 1984 Dr. McGillicuddy has been providing periodontal oral healthcare, with a focus on periodontal surgery and the placement of dental implants.  Dr. McGillicuddy received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Periodontology Degree from Tufts University.  Dr. McGillicuddy also trained at the VA Medical Center as a resident and staff dentist for two years treating medically compromised patients. He also completed Dental Implantology Training at Harvard University.

Dr. McGillicuddy is a board certified periodontist and is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.  He has lectured for Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  He is a member of numerous prestigious organizations including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, Massachusetts Dental Society, Metropolitan District Dental Society, and Charles River Dental Society.

Thomas F. McGillicuddy, DMD

Dr. McGillicuddy is an innovator in dental technology and developed a patent in regenerative bone repair. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of treatment available. 

Dr. McGillicuddy has devoted his professional career to all aspects of periodontics and implantology with special interests in Dental Implants, Cosmetic Periodontal Surgery, Gingival Grafting, and Bone Regenerative Procedures.  To keep abreast of the latest developments in Periodontics and Implantology, Dr. McGillicuddy has always exceeded continuing education requirements.  He prides himself by staying on the cutting edge of the latest technology.

Dr. McGillicuddy has many interests outside of his professional field.  He enjoys golf, skiing, running and spending time with his family. 

Megan M. Huyett, DMD, FAGD

General Dentist & Dental Sleep Medicine Diplomate

Megan McGillicuddy Huyett received her Doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was elected to the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and received numerous honors and awards including The Alumni Clinical Excellence Award in Geriatric Dentistry, The Northeastern Society of Periodontists Award, and a Merit Scholarship based on Academic Performance.

Dr. Huyett trained at Pittsburgh’s VA Medical Center as a general practice resident treating medically complicated patients and strengthened her expertise and knowledge in oral surgery, periodontology, implantology, endodontics, and esthetic dentistry. While practicing dentistry in Pittsburgh, Dr. Huyett was first exposed to and began to treat patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Dr. Huyett remains committed to the study and practice of dental sleep medicine, providing patients with an alternative treatment option to CPAP and surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. In 2018 she completed the Tufts University Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency Program.


Dr. Huyett received her Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession.
Dr. Huyett is dedicated to providing her patients with superior care, respect, and compassion. She resides in Needham, MA with her husband Phil Huyett and their young daughters, Charlotte and Hannah.
